A PANDEMIC-PROOF PROJECT DELIVERY
ETG World is a world-leading agro conglomerate, headquartered in Dubai. Its main focus is on agricultural growing in Africa. The success of the company is based on a consistent quality policy, which also involves close cooperation with suppliers. ETG World follows an efficient supply chain management and has therefore decided to integrate SAP Ariba Buying, in order to handle the ordering process and cooperation with suppliers via Ariba Network.
Following an evaluation of various service providers, the company chose apsolut to ensure that it would have an experienced and flexible partner to deliver the required integration. The project team, consisting of members from ETG World and apsolut India, began setting up the Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG), in order to integrate SAP Ariba Buying with SAP S/4HANA. In the immediate next step, apsolut configured the CIG in the development system. The customer was involved in the process steps and updated about the current status of the project at any time. The preparation, support, and transparent project reports convinced the customer and made the project a total success.
After the configuration was completed, the customer used the newly gained expertise to set up the production system. apsolut provided training on CIG integration and troubleshooting to ensure that the customer’s project team could now easily activate additional company codes into integration scope. Customer-specific requirements were handled smoothly using solutions developed by apsolut. The entire project starting from the sales phase to hypercare phase was handled remotely by the apsolut team from India. But originally, it was not planned to deliver the whole project remotely. It was the Corona virus hitting India exactly in the kick-off phase and forcing the whole project team to work from home.
