ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION

What is Robotic Process Automation

Robotic Process Automation (RPA for short) is understood as an automation of manual business processes. It is a technology that enables manual work processes to be executed automatically with the help of software robots.

The implemented software bots are able to mimic human behavior and perform routine tasks such as data entry, processing and monitoring in an automated manner. As a result, manually created errors can be avoided and your employees are relieved of recurring tasks.

What is a bot?

Bots are automatically controlled computer programs that can perform certain actions and achieve a significantly higher stroke rate than manual implementation. Bots can take over various tasks in the company. For example, they can help with data entry or assist in negotiating prices with suppliers.

Here is an example: During a business process, data from 1000 users is to be created. If an interface to these 1000 users is already given, this process can be completed quickly. If this is not the case, the employee would have to create these users manually - this is time consuming, costly and a high effort. This is where the bots come in - they complete this process without consuming a lot of resources.

Supervised and unsupervised iRPAs

iRPAs are divided into supervised and unsupervised bots. The supervised iRPA is activated by a human and controlled under constant supervision. The employee must direct the iRPAs and coordinate the necessary processes of the bot. If manual activities are necessary during the process or if problems occur, then the supervised iRPA hands back to the user.

The unsupervised iRPA works with end-to-end processes and can process an operation completely without human intervention in an automated manner.

When does RPA make sense?

As a rule, it is about process optimization and automation, which is made possible by SAP iRPA. SAP iRPA gives you an advantage whenever certain work processes are too time-consuming to be performed manually. RPAs make work easier for users and ensure that common errors can be avoided.

What are the benefits of RPA?

SCALING
SCALING

SAP iRPAs can work on multiple processes simultaneously, so you can easily scale processes and tasks.

INTEGRATION
INTEGRATION

SAP iRPAs can be integrated directly into your purchasing systems, so users don't have to switch between systems.

PROCESS OPTIMIZATION
PROCESS OPTIMIZATION

By setting rules, your iRPA bots can be continuously optimized to speed up processes. You don't have to create a new project every time, but you can work in existing processes.

COMPLIANCE AND SECURITY
COMPLIANCE AND SECURITY

Bots document each of their work steps in detail and always proceed according to your business rules. The defined structuring increases compliance and decisions can be made on the basis of existing data.

EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION

Employees are relieved of the burden on their workflow by iRPAs, as recurring tasks can be processed automatically.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

By keeping bots accessible at all times, you can increase your customer satisfaction and service quality.

Why RPA with apsolut?

Our services offer two significant advantages for you: We have developed a portfolio of bot products that fit your standard business processes. These products are fully developed, so they only need to be implemented in your system. But not every product is optimal for your requirements, which is why we offer additional individual consulting and services.

We offer the following additional user services:

  • Process analysis with regard to automation advantages
  • Planning of an automation landscape that fits your system environment
  • Drawing up an automation strategy that you can use as a guide
  • Planning and implementation of a customer-specific automation solution with iRPA
  • Optimization of your current iRPA automation solution
  • Training to build up your own know-how in the area of SAP iRPA

How we work

Beyond RPA – a look beyond the horizon and into the future

Individual bots always act in a well-defined area of application for a specific task. However, there is often talk of the vision of a generic enterprise assistant. This vision can also be realized with RPA and CAI solutions. Here, we take advantage of the economy of scale. In this case, the totality of the individual CAI and RPA bots results in the enterprise assistant (EA). In this case, the EA acts as a library and framework for the individual bots and provides guidelines for development. Following the building block principle, different parts can then be reused during development, and individual new bots can thus be quickly connected to the EA. Contact us to learn more about how to evolve your bots into an EA.

Using artificial intelligence (AI), bots could also be enabled to evolve in a self-learning fashion. The goal could then be for bots to understand for themselves, in an autonomous learning system, which tasks need to be completed and how they can be solved to the satisfaction of the client. In this way, the optimization of process chains in the company can be continuously further optimized fully automatically. And this is done using proven systems.
