Automation of the procurement processes of a large company in the automotive sector
A large company from the automotive sector contacted us with the following requirements for its SAP S/4HANA Procurement project: They requested an accelerated implementation of a new procurement solution in advance of the company-wide ERP harmonization program with SAP S/4HANA. An existing SRM system and the third-party catalog solution needed to be replaced with SAP S/4HANA Central Procurement. The goal was to create a standardization of business processes across all SAP solutions in order to improve process efficiency. A central and user-friendly Fiori-based front end with single sign-on provides access to SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA Central Procurement and the SAP ERPs. All procurement processes should be automated, while compliance with rules and guidelines is ensured by system-based processes.
Go-Live of the solution was achieved in 2019, and the further rollout of the solution and the implementation of functional enhancements is currently in progress. The solution is part of the following strategic initiatives:
- Implementation of Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration for direct procurement and Supplier Lifecycle Management
- Implementation of CP Contract Management and SAP Concur
- Evaluation of the implementation of SAP Fieldglass
